EXHUMATIONS TO START WITH ARJANTINIAN EXPERTS (04.09.06)
The
autonomous Missing Persons
Committee, which has been carrying out studies to find out the fate of
missing Turkish and Greek Cypriots, is to commence exhumation work on the
Turkish Cypriot side today within the framework of the project started in
coordination with the four members of the Argentine Forensic Medicine
Anthropology Team (EAAF).
According
to the information received by Turkish Cypriot News Agency (TAK) from the
Committee’s Turkish Cypriot Member Gulden Plumer Kucuk, following the
preliminary exhumations in Atalassa Forest and the Alaminyo village in South
Cyprus, it was decided to start exhumations in the Turkish Cypriot side.
Within the framework of the two month long project, the exhumations will be
carried out both in the North and in the South.
