GREEK CYPRIOT PROVOCATION
EXTENDED TO ZOOS (15.10.2003)
According to a news report from the BRT,
Greek Cypriots are displaying anti-Turkish attitudes in the "Mini Zoo"
in Paralimini in South Cyprus.
In the new room that has recently been
added to the zoo, brochures and leaflets displaying provocative anti-Turkish
feelings towards the Turkish Cypriots, Motherland Turkey and the Turkish
Armed Forces are being given out to the many tourists who visit the zoo and
just outside of the room above the acquarium which houses the snakes is the
following writing: "Trusting the Turks is like trusting snakes".
Also, on several posters at the zoo’s
entrance, which receives substantial financial support from the Greek
Cypriot Administration, there are anti-Turkish slogans about the 20 July
Peace Operation.
