GREEK CYPRIOTS CONTINUE WITH
THEIR REARMAMENT EFFORTS (25.09.02)
It was reported that the
Greek Cypriot National Guard by purchasing two more speed boats from Spain, is
trying to strengthen its naval power. It was also reported that the
construction works of the naval base of the Greek Cypriot National Guard, are
about to be completed which will be officially opened on December 6.
According
to the Greek Cypriot daily “Alithia”, the Roman-55 type speed boats which
were recently purchased, were made in Spain and that since few months they
were in use of the Union of Underwater Commandos.
