CARS OF TURKISH CYPRIOTS ATTENDING ACTIVITY IN SOUTH CYPRUS VANDALIZED

Vehicles of Turkish and Greek Cypriots attending a literature activity organized in Nicosia have been vandalized.

According to Reuters, the attack happened on the evening of 13 February outside the building where the activity was taking place and this was the second incident to happen in the same place in one month.

In the attack, the car tyres of cars belonging to two Turkish Cypriots, one Greek Cypriot and the Bulgarian embassy were slashed. Greek Cypriot police said they had no information regarding why or who carried out the attack.

A similar incident also took place on 19 January during the bicommunal "Together For Peace" concert that was jointly organized by the CTP and DISI and after the concert, someone claiming to speak on behalf of the National People's Liberation Party had said there was a bomb in the hall and cars parked outside the concert area all had their tyres slashed.
