GREEK CYPRIOT NATIONAL GUARD’S ARMAMENT WILL CONTINUE

Greek Cypriot Defense Minister Fivos Klokkaris, speaking at Larnaka Airport on his way to Athens in order to meet with Defense Minister of Greece Evangelos Meymarakis, stated that as long as the existing situation in Cyprus continues, the Greek Cypriot National Guard would continue to take up arms.

Klokkaris pointed out that the Greek Cypriot Defense Ministry was working together with the Greek Cypriot National Guard in order to renovate the National Guard.

Adding that the reinforcement of the Greek Cypriot National Guard would continue, Klokkaris said despite the EU membership, it was inevitable to modernize and strengthen the National Guard.
