PRESIDENT
TALAT AND MOLLER TO MEET ON FRIDAY

Secretary General’s Special Representative and
UNFICYP Chief of Mission Michael Moller and
President Talat will meet on Friday (27 February).
According to the information received by the TRNC
Presidency, the meeting would take place upon the
request of Michael Moller.
Greek
Cypriot new leader Dimitris Christofias stated that
he had conveyed Moller his request to meet President
Talat.
The
meeting is expected to be the first step of the
negotiation process which is expected to start as
the presidential elections realized in the Greek
Cypriot side.
President Talat who has been continuously calling
for the start of the negotiation process, in a press
conference on Monday (25 February) stated that they
expected a UN mission to visit the island at the end
of March and submit a report to the UN Security
Council about the situation in Cyprus. President
said after this process the UN is expected to take
action.
