PRESIDENT TALAT GOES TO ANKARA

President Mehmet Ali Talat will be flying to the Turkish capital Ankara today (6 March) in order to meet with Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoðan.

President Talat is expected to meet Gul and Erdogan at 11.00 in the morning.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Turgay Avcý and a delegation from the TRNC Presidency will accompany the President during his visit to Ankara.

 

ITB BERLIN TOURISM FAIR...

The representatives from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus’ tourism sector evaluating the ITB Berlin Tourism Fair stated that Germany was very important for the TRNC tourism and added that better promotion of the TRNC would broaden the German market.

Tourism Coordinator of the TRNC Ministry of Economy and Tourism in Germany Onal Dorak pointed out that their aim was to promote the TRNC in the German market and that Germany could be the TRNC’s most important market.

Explaining that the interest shown to the TRNC’s fairstand was very high, Dorak said with a good organization the interest in the TRNC could be increased.

Noting that the fair was for both the tour operators and people, Dorak said the Ministry of Economy and Tourism had very important studies for the German market.
